Beautiful idea!
|
I do a reusable shopping bags from Joanns now..They have leave/trees on them
|
Very pretty.

I'm going to steal all of these ideas!

I do the same thing. The only thing I do differently is to turn down the edge where the label is. This way they see the special message to them (its like a card on a gift) and a bit of the back shows.

You make make a tote out of the fabric used in the quilt.
that would be cute. |
I'm all for the pillow case idea. Your ribbon would look lovely around a case, too.

I like the idea of the bag - what i've done is buy a sheet set and use the flat sheet to wrap the quilt - this way everthing is usable -

When I give a quilt as a gift, I make a bag out of the extra fabric (if I have any left) for them to store the quilt in. That way it is cotton and won't harm the quilt. So many people don't know to keep them out of plastic.

i roll my quilt gift with the back side out and tie it with a piece of selvage or other thin cutting from my scrap bag. i think i makes a good presentation.
