Works for me. What better wrapping could you have?
|
If I have some of the fabric left (about pillow case size), I make a bag with a drawstring and put the quilt in that. It uses up the extra fabric so I don't have a lot of "tail ends" laying around. I don't do much scrap quilting, so would rather use them up like that.

I put my gift quilts in a white kitchen trash bag. I've spent enough on the quilt, time and money. It will be pretty no matter what it is in.

I wrap mine in tulle.. then a pretty ribbon... you get to just peek though the tulle which makes it all just a bit mysterious...

brilliant idea, love the blue one; ribbon one for me !!!

They are great ideas.
I usually have extra fabric, so I make atleast one pillow case. Or I least plan for one pillow case, then easily used for storage. If it is a double or larger quilt, I plan for 2 pillowcases. Robinlee |
Great Idea.

I would be very careful in your place doing that, because my mom one time found her quilt after a lot of searching in the trash bin, and I've heard of another lady whose quilts were taken to the trash and were gone, because she put them in a trash bag and someone else thought it was trash.

I usually make a pillow case size bag w/handles then I let the receipient know, they can store the quilt in it, lay it on the bed as a sham, etc.
