beautiful !!!

Cute quilt! I would echo the flowers and stitch in the ditch for the purple borders. For center of the border, some type of soft curvy pattern to carry the soft curvy flow of the flowers into the border. Very pretty quilt!

Kim Bohannon 12-14-2011 09:04 AM

some loose meandering between flowers and on the borders would be pretty, I would definately echo the flowers

amandasgramma 12-14-2011 09:16 AM

Either echo or meander AROUND the flowers. If you cross into the flowers, you'll lose the effect! That's absolutely beautiful! Do you have a source for the pattern for the border???? That REALLY sets that quilt off nicely!

suesofine 12-14-2011 09:27 AM

The border came from a free BOM I seen on the QNN show.

Don't have any advice on the quilting, but you have made a beautiful quilt. Great job. pat

That quilt top is soooooo pretty. Never have seen that pattern before. Great job.

crafty pat 12-14-2011 10:20 AM

That is so pretty and cheerful. I love it.

needles3thread 12-14-2011 10:23 AM

This is very pretty..........I wouldn't have a clue how to quilt it.

fmhall2 12-14-2011 10:33 AM

I love your quilt. It iss so bright and pretty.

Rumbols 12-14-2011 11:06 AM

Beautiful quilt. How about SID and some echoing around the flowers? Thanks for posting.

orangeroom 12-14-2011 11:22 AM

What a beautiful quilt!!! Tight meandering except where flowers are, and also tight meandering only on the white areas in
the border.

KyKat 12-14-2011 11:22 AM

That's purdy!! I think echoing would make the flowers stand out really well. Do something that will make them stand out, not cover them up.

Grandma Peg 12-14-2011 11:30 AM

Really like your quilt with the special border and the shading in the flowers. They both really make it pop.

malega 12-14-2011 11:58 AM

Wow that is a very beautiful, quilt.

alfosa421 12-14-2011 01:29 PM

That is striking Love the colors-no clue as to how to quilt it though Good luck and Congratulations!!!

Your quilt is so pretty!

lollygagging 12-14-2011 02:27 PM

I love your rendition of the Happy Daisies Quilt, especially the border treatment. When I did mine, I simply echo quilted it so as not to detract from the daisies. Great job.

Bobbielinks 12-14-2011 02:35 PM

Your quilt is so very pretty!!!! I love your colors! I love your borders!! I would think SID in the borders; echoing around the flowers, but change thread color to match the background (I know - a lot of changing thread, but you could do all the white background blocks first, then come back with the colored threads) Pop in a butterfly or a hummingbird a few times on the background fabrics. Have Fun, this quilt looks so cheerful!

slhager 12-14-2011 03:33 PM

My daughter would love this! I've tried to find the pattern but when I search for "happy daisy quilt" I'm not finding it. Can anyone help?

DonnaB 12-14-2011 03:40 PM

What a cool quilt, I think echoing would work for center blocks, with something different in the borders.

hockeymom444 12-14-2011 03:42 PM

Type in "happy daisy" in the search field and scroll down. kathy aire has posted a thread with the origin of the pattern she used. You can also see some of the Happy Daisy quilts boardmembers have made and quilted :)
i have attached a couple of the board links to some threads

Love your border. Nice touch to this quilt.

anniec55 12-14-2011 08:05 PM

Pretty. and very colorful!!!

joyce888 12-14-2011 08:07 PM

Very pretty. Personally I wouldn't quilt it too heavily; maybe an inside outline of the flowers with scroll-type quilting on the background; and maybe cross-hatch of the border.

rushdoggie 12-14-2011 08:09 PM

Soooo pretty!

luvstitches 12-15-2011 03:48 AM

Very stunning! Love the border!

Wannasew 12-15-2011 04:01 AM

I LOVE the border and how the black sets the rest of the quilt off. Beautiful. The quilting of items is the hardest part for me.
