Top is finally done and now is the hard part trying to figure out how to quilt it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

fixfido 12-13-2011 06:25 PM

So pretty! I love this pattern.

miss_ticky2 12-13-2011 06:29 PM

Oh, that's lovely. I have that pattern..somewhere..lol. Not sure how to quilt it though...maybe just an all over meander?

lfstamper 12-13-2011 06:31 PM

How beautiful! What about echoing?

Born2Sew 12-13-2011 06:33 PM

Very pretty! It seems to have a calming effect, at least to me. I like!

I agree, it's a beauty

Susanna10 12-13-2011 06:42 PM

Do not know how to quilt it, but think the border looks really cool with flowers

AnnieF 12-13-2011 06:46 PM

The quilt is stunning...beautiful work...you could outline the flowers and then stipple between them.

SoozeeDoozee 12-13-2011 06:57 PM

Wonderful quilt ! Simple stippling might work.

GreatStarter 12-13-2011 07:00 PM

It is gorgeous! I think how you did the border really makes it stand apart from others I have seen. Sorry no idea how to quilt it.

So brightly beautiful!! Love the flip-flop of it...Really pretty!!

quiltsRfun 12-13-2011 07:05 PM

Very pretty. Love the cheerful colors. Sorry, I'm no help with how to quilt it. I have the same problem with my tops.

Krisb 12-13-2011 07:12 PM

Show off those beautiful flowers with some echo quilting. In the borders, I would just follow, the criss cross pattern.

Rowena101 12-13-2011 07:16 PM

I agree with Annie F about the quilting. This pattern is beautiful. Nancy

BLAP 12-13-2011 07:18 PM

I'm too new to quilting to be of any help on the quilting but I love quilt colors.

AnnR 12-13-2011 07:56 PM

The flowers are wonderful! What a pretty quilt!

Murphy 12-13-2011 08:03 PM

This is simply gorgeous. I look forward to seeing what you select. A pantograph flower pattern or leaf pattern may be in order. Thank you for sharing this beauty.

cwessel47 12-13-2011 08:06 PM

I think that echo quilting would really bring those flowers out even more. You've really done a beautiful job. And I love your border. It's smashing!

cindy anne 12-13-2011 08:57 PM

Very pretty.

jackied 12-13-2011 09:00 PM

Love the bright colors and have wanted to make this pattern and just haven't done it.

slk350 12-13-2011 09:28 PM

What a beautiful quilt, I have never seen that pattern before. No clue on how to quilt it. I usually hand quilt .

audsgirl 12-13-2011 10:26 PM

I'm impressed with the shading you did on some of the flowers. And that border is fantastic!

miz mary 12-13-2011 10:49 PM

I did one ...in my avatar ...but your border ROCKS !!!!

I agree, I thing taking a simpler approach would work well and really show off your beautiful work.

northern lass 12-13-2011 10:57 PM

gorgeous quilt. love the colours

karenm36 12-13-2011 11:01 PM

Wow, that's lovely! I was thinking about echoing it as well. Your piecing is fantastic and I love the colors you used!

Love, love this quilt! The colors are bright and cheery...great pattern and a fantastic job! The border is just wonderful!!

Crlyn 12-13-2011 11:51 PM

Such a pretty quilt.

katier825 12-14-2011 01:25 AM

Oh, that is so pretty!!! I love how you echoed with a 2nd color around some of the petals and that border is great! I've got one of those in the works too. I was thinking of doing a couple of echoes around the flowers, then maybe some butterflies or dragonflies between and fill the rest with some kind fill like petal shapes or something from Leah Day's website.

Yooper32 12-14-2011 01:42 AM

I think that I would SID around each flower block and then echo around the petals only so as to enhance the flowers but not detract from them. What I want to know is this: how did you get the shading around the outside edge of the flower petals?

AnnieH 12-14-2011 01:57 AM

It's sooo gorgeous. No idea either about how to quilt it but it's such a beautiful creation. Well done.

quilterella 12-14-2011 02:16 AM

Beautiful. I like your colour choices, but, what caught my attention were the borders.

SueDor 12-14-2011 03:06 AM

Very pretty! I would probably stipple it.

Painiacs 12-14-2011 03:20 AM

Wow! Never seen this pattern! It's really cool! I agree maybe echo pattern? Love to see it done!!

blondeslave 12-14-2011 03:24 AM

Beautiful cheery quilt-I love the border!

Whigrose 12-14-2011 03:27 AM

Positively adorable! If this were my quilt, I would be inclined to quilt it soft- meaning no hard (straight) lines.

babyquiltlady 12-14-2011 03:59 AM

SEW beautiful. The border abd the quilt binding bring the entire quilt to a wonderful and exciting finish.

Dyan 12-14-2011 04:15 AM

Very Beautiful, I love the border too.

Vat 12-14-2011 04:25 AM

I have done a top of Daisies also but hadn't decided what to do for the border and I just love yours. Think I might do the same, it is stunning. And I also love the accent you did in some of the flower petals. Looks GREAT! ! ! !
