Very cute! Baby's mother is sure to love them. Are they made of regular cotton or flannel? I saw some similar ones made of flannel, and they were very nice.

The middle fat quarter (or as the pattern calls it, the "theme" fabric) is a fat quarter folded in half with the other fat quarter sewed to it. It is my guess that one could use terry fabric instead of flannel but I haven't tried it yet. I did try regular cloth fabric but it doesn't do a great job at absorbing any liquid. I've seen these made with diapers, never thought of using flannel. I think I'll make some only I'll double the fabric and have a front and back so they can be more absorbant.
