Rose Scrap Quilt Top - UFO Almost Done!

4 Attachment(s)
In pursuit of finishing UFOs, I pulled out a pile of scrappy rose blocks that I put together before I had a firm grip on measuring. Yeah, I know I should be ashamed of myself and probably should have tossed these blocks ... but I didn't. At least I got the vertical and horizontal seams to match up but sad to say, what's going on inside those blocks ... well you'll see.
Happily, it is so busy that I don't think it much matters. I plan on quilting the heck out of it so hopefully the points that go this way, that way, and the other way too won't be so obvious.
Either way, it's for me to curl up with in front of my fireplace while I enjoy my Elm Creek Quilt novels :o

It's beautiful ~ and will serve it's purpose well even if it doesn't have perfect points!!

Sunbonnet and Grandma Bonnie, you are both so kind. I think you've inspired me to knuckle down and get the quilting done!

Krytyna...I LOVE your yummy rose fabrics! Eye popping candy for sure! What novel are you on? I may have to catch up...love Sylvia and her gang! :)

Brenda, my husband thinks he is a member of the quilt police force!
Ronda, Only on book two. I treated myself to three of the three-in-one hardcovers. Love it. Up to Round Robin and Bonnie's stinky husband having a computer affair.

Put in a heavy poly batting and actually, don't quilt it to death, just put on a lovely easy going pattern and you will like it a bit better. To much quilting on something like this actually shows the boo boos more. At least in my experience. That is my thought. I like these kinds of quilts because we can look back and reflect how far we have come in our skills and learning. The fabrics are so busy, no worries in my book for ya. I have a couple of these also and the kids love to use them because they seem to have the most comfort.

Busy?? I guess so, it just reminds me of being in the middle of a beautiful rose garden. Thanks for sharing.
