That is so true. Eons ago, I was going to make my DD a little scrap quilt to cover up with when she was reading or watching TV. She was highly offended... thought she was getting "left overs". I made it for her anyway. Fast foward about 15 years... she's now all grown up, just bought her first house & guess what is folded over the arm of her new sofa? Yep... the little scrap quilt. It has gone to college, law school & now her first home with her.

I keep thinking I should challenge myself to do just that. But then I see some new fabric line & my will power evaporates.
