Let's just say I have intuitive powers and she posted something that went "click" and I went hunting. My SQA sent me some of the Linen scented Best Press last week and it smells very nice. My DD didn't complain and she has chemical alergies. Amazing how far that little bottle is going to go. Like how crisp the fabric gets especially those pesky little pieces.

Thanks to my Angel. I received a package a few days ago, but have not had time to photo or even thank her here for her generosity. Lovely Jinny Beyer prints -- oh, the saturation of color! the patterns! the designs! yuuuummmmmmmmmmm.

Just got a birthday card from my SQA. She recently sent me a package with a great magazine and some fat quarters and a quilt pattern. In her birthday card she informed me that I will get that magazine for TWO YEARS!!! Talk about the gift that keeps on giving! Thank you so much, SQA--I think it's one of the best quilting magazines out there, and I am absolulely thrilled! Sending lots of hugs your way! :D :D :D

well, it's September and my angel has done a September mailing........I can't wait to get started on these Christmas
mini quilts.......called Joyful Christmas..... I have some plaid homespun that will go perfectly with these patterns........and two of them are paper piecing........so I really can't wait to get started. Here's a picture of the pattern and also a picture of the pink time piece which should keep me on time. To My Secret Quilt Angel,
Thank you so much for your thoughtfullness. I really appreate you thinking of our Anniversary. It was really nice to get a gift. I loved everything, the candles, the fat quarters, the patterns, just everything. My DD will be coming home this weekend may be I get a picture up. My kids forgot our anniversary, so when I was bragging to my son about the box I got he said it was from him. lol I have been working hard sewing some purses I can never get a picture up I'm electronically challenged. lol Angel, I loved everything and Thank you again. Hi all, I have been out of town and while I was gone I recieved a squishy from my Pink Angel .However, my husband had it piled under alot of mail and I found it recently, so thanks, danke',gracias! She sent me two magazines(that I didn't have)

I've seen postings about Best Press. Do you use it as you go along- or just once before cutting your fabric?

Barb..I use it once before cutting, then I spritz the block right before I trim it square..but thats just me, I'm sure everyone has their own technique :D:

BarbM I too use before cutting, after sewing seams, and just before squaring up.

I washed some fat quarters for a swap and then used the Best Press to help get the wrinkles out. Wow. I was impressed.

will definitely get some- I like to spray water to get out wrinkles on everything I iron. Guess I'll be looking for gallon containers. :)

I OPENED MY BIRTHDAY PACKAGE AT 5AM THIS MORNING :) COULDN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!!! I received a fabric bundle of the most beautiful bird print panal and coordinates, it is so beautiful! and it was beautifully wrapped in birthday cake fabric!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU ARE SUCH A WONDERFUL SECRET ANGEL! i have looked at those fabrics on line and (gazed in loving wonderment at their beauty) but it was a splurge i could not justify financially...and here they are, what a wonderful gift, sometimes i don't know how you figure out these things.... |
