Would make a cheerful kitchen--as placemats! Does remind me of the twister blocks too.

Lately I've been thinking that I would like to try the twister pattern and have checked out the price of the templates on line. I just came across your directions and they sound wonderful. I'm going to see if I can get the book you mentioned and try making a table runner. I like the idea of cutting using a ruler as I do not trust myself trying to cut around template plastic. Thanks for your great information!

P.S. I just found the pdf for the patch that you posted. Thank you so much.

I looked at the site Rosy gave us http://country-schoolhouse.com/twister_tool.htm and noticed that the quilts pictured there have the template reversed, with the sharper angle pointing left. It gives a different spin to the patches and the whole quilt. This template could be used either way, a plus.

yes, I made a mistake cutting and have some turning the other way. Thank goodness they were batik I can use the wrong side. Remember to all put your strips right side up or all left side up. I am working on with a smaller template now and cutting out the patches....

I'm with you....I'd go for the red too! Like the bright colors. Can't wait to see your finished quilt.

Thanks. That is how I pictured it. I will try this soon. I may even steal your color combination but my stash has them in slightly different shades.
