You know the back of my mini was full of ink marks and after I sprayed the front, all were gone from the back. My question is, do you think WD-40 would work better from the wrong side of the soiled area? I still have marks remaining on the front to remove. It's worth considering.

That's sad all that work. I did that once with an pen for quilting that just rinse off with water. Well it didn't still is blue. A real bummer, so sorry

Take a pic of it when the ink is all gone... I have hope for you.. .and the quiti quilt I had a carpet cleaner tell me this when I asked him what was he using in the can that was covered with duct tape.... and also from the auto store, an engine cleaning product you spray on and rinse it quicklie... Yes, that was the 2 products he had tapped with the duct tape....I was so surprised and now when I have a stain I use it and it works!!!Especially if it is a petrolium based ink!! just try a small spot first... its worth a try than having to rid the quilt.... |

The fons and porter marker is wonderful. It comes out with a spray of water, very thin lines, and you can get refills in several colors.

Oh...I am so sorry this happend. How frustrating all the work you went through AND the price of supplies.
Here....I will cry for you so you can stop now.                          I don't suppose that helped did it. I have used dishwasher soap mixed with a little oxyclean to remove stains. Dishwasher soap has more phosphorus in it which is supposed to help loosen stains. It works great for similak stains. Maybe it would work for ink. Lynn |
I had this happen to me too, mine was pencil marks and I tried everything and no luck. I hope you the best in getting the ink out of yours!

What a day this has been, I haven't stopped thinking about this dilemma all afternoon. I had a meeting this evening and couldn't wait to get home and find out what the results were after the last washing. Thank God for WD-40. I have been stressed over this poor little block. You brought it back to life again, Yippie!!!

Ok Ok so you made a mistake its still very pretty even with the ink mark in it and if you cant get the ink out just put more innk on some of the other part to amke it look like it was in the design
|
I use, hand sanitizing gel like Purell or "no name" brands work too, put it on then use a toothbrush to scrub - then try washing
it has worked for me on my son's white and coloured shirts, for wine, coffee and blood if this does not work - try shaving cream and a toothbrush,(not gel type shaving cream) foam type works best not sure what else to try because both of these take out pretty much every stain I have ever had |
