Of course I strip pieced it! lol
I got smart! I even did the opposite ends on the sewing. Used to start at one end all the time with the strips and they would ALWAYS come out crooked. Saw somewhere, probably here somewhere that I should alternate sewing top, then from the bottom and it wouldn't be crooked. It does the trick!! :)

Oh no. No quilting goddess here! I struggle thru alot of the quilts I make. Some come out REALLY, REALLY good, others, well.....let's just say, they don't go to anyone important. lol

I actually took my time on this, believe it or not. Even tho it only took me a couple days to do it. I do sew for a little bit, then take a break, then go back at it. I'm still struggling with trying to get the landlord out here to fix this a/c, but he's a butthead and only cares about getting his rent. If he's not out here by the middle of the week, I'll make a phone call and then he'll get a call from the people I call and he'll be out within 2 days fixing it. Just hate it when I have to put threats in.

Terri. love your quilt. Never done an Irish chain - will have to try it. I hope those 18 yo's appreciate all the work that went into it. Am making my grandson a quilt and he has watched me this summer and told him that he better treat it right with all the work I am putting into it. Will post a pix when I get the top done. He says he will, but I am not sure how much a 14 yo will take care of things! It is a large double bed size. He went back to Maryland yesterday after being here 7 1/2 weeks. Miss him already.

I'm sure they will. By the way, she is 18, he is 26.
Anyway...he has seen my quilts since he has been trying to snatch the one I made for his mom and dad. lol

What a wonderful Irish Chain! I love that pattern. Such a classic. You did a great job. I'm sure the happy couple will treasure it forever.

Since it has the embroidery on it, should I just do a simple stitch in the ditch or what?
