I'm still new to quilting, so I wash and iron everything, then cut out for a block or two and sew it together and see how it looks. If I did not make an error in cutting or sewing somewhere, then I cut it all out and start sewing. :D
If there is no major error in there, I take time out for a "happy dance" LOL!

I am a mood quilter, so whatever I am in the mood for. I cut some, I sew some, then perhaps off to another project and back on the first one! Yea, I am a golden brain!

I'm all over the place. I usually start out cutting down the fabric into the strips needed to create the different units. I keep those separated by unit in plastic bags. From there I start working on one unit at a time. Sometimes I get bored and then switch to another unit. Then I decide I want to see how the block looks and finsh those up. Then I decide to systematically finish unit by unit, joining those units to make the blocks.
I do usually finish my blocks before joining the quilt top.
By then I am bored with the project and the quilt top sits until I am bored with something else and find the project and wonder why I never finished it.
Can you spell ADD?

I agree I like to cut it all....chain sew and then press. Then chain sew and press again!
