Patrice this absolutely striking!! I do not have EQ but I had to try figuring it out--with graph paper, info from Mr. Google on how to draw a perfect octagon, and a bunch of scraps. I am very pleased with my attempt and learned a whole pile in the process. I need to make a block for the Tinners group in our guild. I hope you don't mind if I use your block and give you credit for the inspiration. It is so unique.

drawing the basic shapes was not the problem. (notice her video does not show how she drew the stripes.)
drawing the stripes that went on an angles was the hard part.
the geometric maths for that was waaaaaaaay over my head. lol
and EQ will only let you divide the workspace into so many "snaps."

but you can only give me credit for being inspired by one i saw that somebody else had already created. i like the way i used the blocks much better than the way she used hers but that's about as hard as i can pat myself on the back.

Thank you and I shall include that info on the fact sheet. I have had great fun participating in our 'Tinners' program and try to make a unique block for each tin I am given. This on is going to wow someone's socks off!
