The doctor stool would be perfect for the longarm. Bet they aren't cheap.

Maybe your DH could put a platform of some sort in the leg area and secure it to the legs to solidify it. It may even need two...one up high and a larger one down low. Or check the thrift stores for good quality office chairs that may not look the best cosmetically, but have heavy duty, good wheels that you could replace your original stool casters with. I just bought a set of 4 ball rollers for my installation stool, I do vehicle graphics, and they were 14.99 at Home Depot and work like a charm, roll every which way. My son weighs 230 and it works for him.

Try Tractor Supply for wheels, they have the industrial type, pretty reasonable and check for coupons too. :-D

Lea, To sit on one of these is like sitting in a saddle on a horse. Quite a bit different then sitting in a chair. I wanted one too, until I sat in a friends for about 10 minutes then my thighs were screaming at me to 'get up!'....

I think a MD round stool/chair would be the way to go. I don't know why I didn't think of them when I work with them everyday :(.... Found this site on a quick search:

You can afford a longarm, but not a stool???

Metal casters and some type of plastic runner would help a great deal.
