    Default Promise to Self ....

You all know how difficult it is not to start a new project. We just keep them coming!! And then we get a pile of UFOs. My promise to myself is to finish all of my UFOs before I start a new project. After I finished projects for the holiday, I started on my UFOs. Here are three I finished. The teal & brown rectangle table runner I did for my daughter. The purple small quilt made for her dog, Sapphire. Just had to show you Sapphire ... she's so cute and knows it!! We love her! The square table topper is for me. Surprise ... one for me! I loved the fabric and butterflies! I'll be making a double wedding ring quilt for my daughter out of this material. But ... that is a new project, so I don't know when I'll get to start it. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and/or Hanukkah! Wishing all of you the best in 2015 ... may it be filled with love, good health, and lots of quilting!

Love your UFO's. That's a big goal to complete them before starting something new. I need to do the exact same thing.

Congratulations on finishing some UFO's. They are all very pretty. My goal is to finish up all of my UFO's in 2015! For some odd reason my DH doesn't believe me!!! Can't imagine why!!! Love your cute little fur baby-very cute.

Nice finish on your projects. Your fabric for your wedding ring is very light. Have you considered doing the background as a dark, maybe black? I saw my first black background wedding ring quilt at the IQF in Houston this year. It was drop dead gorgeous. They did use Judy Niemeyer's pattern Bali Wedding Star so it was a paper pieced quilt. The colors were similar to this one, although this one is a more traditional Double Wedding Ring pattern. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/26458716534406853/

edited to add: my goal in 2015, is to finish at least half of my WIP's, about 30, Works in Progress. I had to rethink my UFO list because I have ended up with way too many kits that I haven't started yet, about 80 of them.

So my list now consists of WIP's that I have started sewing and not finished, and UFO's, kits with fabric, pattern and ready to start cutting.

I know...way too many...and I am a fabric collector too. My stash is way too big. I am using a lot of it for backings because I buy yardage when it is on sale. Doing the new list kept me from buying every new kit that appealed to me at the IQF in Houston this year.

And I am always tempted....I do love a good sale. Craftsy has a bunch of kits on sale, some for more than one half off. How do I keep myself in check???

Happy New YEar to all!!! and Happy Sewing!!!!

Very nice. Thanks for the close ups of your quilting. It really made the 10 minute block look totally different.
