I changed #2 a bit. I put the rickrack around the pockets, top and bottom edge, then on the handles. The handles are supposed to attach at the top of the top strip. That would have been a gap in the rickrack. so, I put the handles in at the base of the top strip, so the rickrack lined up. that mean that when I turned the raw edges in, the heavy handle would have to be bent tight, and the handles would always fall outward. So, I cut the seam around the handle ends, and then covered the raw edge of the fabric & strap with little baggies of the lining material.
