Can I just snuggle up with it right there on your porch swing? Beautiful!

Third---I LOVE the way you photograph your quilts. Your porch swing is wonderful. I loved your last posting with the quilt in the rocking chair. I would be so happy to just sit on your porch and rock or swing for a while.

Your mom is going to be soooo happy. You are a good son. :-)
I'm a huge fan of Kansas Troubles as well, I love their fabrics. I think we're kindred spirits, lol. :)

The porch swing in the picture actually has a sentimental attachment for me. It belonged to my grandfather, and when he passed away in 1989 and the family was going through his stuff I asked if I could have it. It was really the only thing of his that I wanted because I had a lot of wonderful memories sitting with him in it in their breezeway when I was a child (they lived across the street from us). He always sat on the left, I on the right. Sometimes we talked a lot about this or that, sometimes about nothing. We shelled a lot of peas together in that swing, caught a lot of breezes on hot summer days, and so on. So many, many great memories. Oh yeah, and he's my name sake - his name was Eddie, too. :)

Eddie--

Thanks for sharing your great memories of times spent in the swing with your grandfather. How awesome is it that you now have that swing?

You got me all choked up reading it---I love a good sentimental story.

Gorgeous quilt, Eddie! Add my name to the list of folks who love the Kansas Troubles fabrics. And that pattern...so homey and cozy looking and you did an awesome job on it! Your mom's gonna love it. LOVE the story about the porch swing. What a great memory!
