It's perfect! It's a great story about him picking the fabric and pattern. I love it all … I'm a lake-lover, too.

You made a great team. It is so fun to make a quilt for someone when you know they will absolutely love it. Not only because of the fabric/pattern, but because you took the time and talent to do it just for them!

Yes, it was Nancy's. I found them to be extremely nice and helpful. I live in KY but was in VA helping with my granddaughter while my DIL was back in KY to be with her dad during serious surgery. I spent two weeks with them and had the best time! He amazed me by not rushing me in the store, actually looking around and finding something he liked. (He is Army and not the most patient of men!) He had never been shopping with me like that before. My granddaughter (9) found a fabric she liked so while they were cutting all the pieces for the quilt, she kept bringing spools of thread to match the fabric she chose. And she picked a good one! I don't know if they still have the fabric but I Among Friends Quilt Shop in Louisville has it. You can also find it online by googling it--the line is called A Day at the Lake. The quilting design is called Anchors Aweigh and it is by Patricia Ritter.
