Default Quilt I sent to daughter's Nana for Christmas

I was a single Mom when my daughter was 6 months old. She is 21 years old now. I was and still am living in San Diego and my family lives in Oregon. I was so lucky to find Nana and Amos as babysitters for my then 6 month old daughter while I worked two jobs and went to school. I could not have done it without their love and support over the years. Nana is almost 80 years old now and Amos is 75. They moved to Spokane, WA about 8 years ago and I call them every 3 months. I miss them dearly. I made this quilt for them for Christmas this year as a surprise and they said that they looked at each other when they opened it and could not believe their eyes. They loved it and it matched their living room perfectly! We were so very blessed to have them both in our lives. That is WHY many of us quilt. To show our love to the ones we care about the most. I hope you enjoyed my story and Happy New Year!

Beautiful quilt and story. If someone does something for us and won't accept money, I make them a quilt. I am always looking for someone who I think needs a quilt.

Default Congratulations

Congrats on a beautiful quilt. Yes, you were very lucky to find Nana and Amos. They were on earth for you to find. And huge congratulations on going to school as a single mom and getting your life to the exact place you wanted it to be.
