Adorable!! A 5 year old!! Wow!! My granddaugter is 9 and just getting interested in quilting...she made one for her cousin, and now is asking to make another one for another cousin. I see a budding master quilter!! LOL

thats wonderful that your granddaughter is taking up the hobby.

its much easier to teach them when they are young. their creative juices and sense of color is amazing.

i think as we age that trait/gift becomes a bit inhibited and we spend hours/days/months trying to make one color decision.

You are so lucky to have a 'buddy' to share your wonderful talent with so your quilts will survive another generation. All my playmates have grown up and go to college and I have no one to play with now. Enjoy the time .

Absolutely stunning!!!!!! Very touching.
I love that bag. Maybe you could teach me a thing or two about making bags.
Doesn't that give you the warm and fuzzies inside to know she wants to be just like you.

we really do love are sewing time together.

when we're working on projects together she's allowed to call me "kelly" instead of "aunt kelly".

she was so thrilled by that. i told her we're both designer equals and should be on a first name basis when we're being creative with each other.
