I really like this..and your quilting does it justice! I usually love symmetry..but lately I have been more intrigued by Asymmetry! Let us know what your friend thinks..

wow- thanks for all the compliments! I just finished machine stitching the binding to the front- now i'm going to sit here & hand stitch the other side while I watch the Tiger's game. now that it is 'over with' it has sort of 'grown' on me...or maybe it's just that it's quilted & that always helps. and, maybe it's the *modern* that 'threw me' I've always done more traditional I guess...anyhow- I sent pictures to my girl friend right after I posted them here- so, should be hearing from her within the next day or so- this will be the 5th or 6th quilt of mine she has *claimed* bought from me- the others were ones I had made, posted pictures of and she called & said- if that one doesn't have a home yet--I want it! this is the first one that she requested something special-instead of choosing what was done- anyhow- thanks for looking (& letting me know that hubby's tastes aren't always the only way to go)

I think it is absolutely gorgeous!!! I would love to have a quilt just like it. The fabrics are perfect, and you did an amazing job on it. I guess people have different tastes - I wouldn't trade one of that quilt for ten traditional patchwork quilts.

It is lovely! Your husband maybe likes a more traditional design but I predict your friend will LOVE it!
