    For years our Thanksgiving tablecloth has been an old patchwork top I got at an antiques show. It's been washed many times and it looks as good as ever. I use it over a liner so it doesn't slip and even tho it doesn't "go with" the good china I love the way my table looks.

    Yesterday was the third thanksgiving that I used my quilt/tablecloth and so far no stains. It was hard the first time input it out but I am more relaxed about it now. The first year I jokingly told everyone that if they stained it I would embroidery their name by the stain.

    i never thought of unbleached muslin as a batting. thank you. i hope you get the apple cider out. let us know.
