    "quilted to death" quilt finished!

I finished quilting her this afternoon. I just love it!

Two of my dogs were under the quilt when I was taking these. Rowdy had to see what it looked like from the top!

Oh I remember this. You posted that center block after you completed quilting it and at the time I seem to recall you weren't very pleased with it. It turned out great and I am so glad you now love it. It is a very striking quilt.

Stunning, indeed! It has a very stained glass look to it, but there's plenty of open space to give it a clean look too. Great job! Is there a pattern for the design?

Beautiful, I love all the quilting you did.
I think the quilt inspector gives it 5 bones.

Very pretty. Your dogs must be cleaner and better behaved than mine. I wouldn't let mine near my quilts!

Aw, shucks, thanks! I bought the top off ebay. I've never seen anything else like it. I fell in love with it when I saw it! The blue borders weren't square at all; you can't tell how bad they are in the pics! I didn't even try to quilt them, I just worked around them.
I did the center part in one day (you do remember my old post lol!) and I did think it was too quilted! Then my machine broke, so I quilted the straight lines with my sewing machine while the quilting machine was in the shop. It took me two good quilting days to finish the rest.
All I need to do is trim it and bind it. I may get around to that in the next year or so!

And no, my dogs are rotten and not well behaved at all. I was trying to take pictures and the little booger had to get on the quilt!!! But he's my little booger and I adore him more than any ole quilt!
