To hand do would be wonderful and you would for sure have an heirloom on your hands however a long endeavor as well. Start in the middle and let each area speak to you is my thought.

Unless you have a long arm, I wouldn't try to machine quilt it. It is so big. It is so beautiful. Charisma puts up pics of quilts she has long-arm quilted and they are always exquisite. I would try to find some of her posts.

Your quilt is really beautiful. If you're not going to hadn quilt it, it will be too much of a struggle to quilt it on a domestic machine. It really would be better on a long arm. Charisma's work enhancesthe overall apperance of a quilt. She is excellent.

Unfortunately I stay quite far away, otherwise I would have sent it to her. I love to see her work and admire her abilities.
thanks for your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

If I couldn't sell something to have it long armed I would definatly hand quilt it. I love hand quilting especially on a traditional looking quilt as beautiful as this one. What about the "big sticthes" and some of the turkey track sticthes? These would make the quilting go faster and fit in with the country look.
