Quilts of illusion
#1
I made these wallhangings using Karen Combs Quilts of Illusion technique (instructions, fabrics, and templates are available on her website). Each block has a light, medium, and dark side, and the shapes are diamonds, not squares. The blocks can be arranged in many different designs. It is a challenge to find three shades of each color. Karen Combs has fabrics for sale with four shades of one color running the length of the fabric.

Wow! Usually I can look at a block and sort of figure out how it was done--I have no clue how you did those but they are beautiful and your work is incredible. I love stuff that makes me go "hmmm" and you did!

JoAnn...your work is dream of sheer illusion!!!!!
I am attempting my first real quilt and trying the tumbling blocks....
One day, I hope to turn out a piece of work as nice and perfect as your quilts of illusion.
Below are my starter blocks....
