Yes, it's the Indigo, Pewter, and Honey collection by Judie Rothermel. The pattern is HSTs but comes out looking like a Broken Star.

I just love the new Viking machine Speed piecing is even faster when I have it set at needle up. After I sew a pair and stop, it has the needle up and the foot down. I tap the pedal (while picking up the next pair and making sure they are aligned) and it goes to needle down, foot up. I put the next pair in and start sewing again. No reaching for the presser foot lever. I prefer it this way rather than the needle down position because I don't like the presser foot lifting every time I stop.

Sometimes muddy is the right thing to do even when you're a lady.

Not much to show yet. Just a mountain, or a few hills at least, of ironing to do. The pattern directions are really nice. Along with colored and numbered pictures of the sections it has the entire quilt layed out by the sections and the fabrics numbered 1 thru 5 and B for the background.

Patti, don't know if she used them on this quilt, bc she just got an EQ6?, but Pam reccommended Marti Michell's templates, etc. to me, and I bought a b*ttload of stuff from her site, and your points are already trimmed. I can't wait to make something with them. woo hoo!
edit: make that an accu-cut??? whatever...lol, she did get the EQ gizmo, but also the cutting thingy...I want to go live at her house, and play with her toys

I didn't use the templates for these, did a square sewn up both sides of the center and cut them apart. I do love the Marti Michel templates especially for a little unusual shapes. Those cut corners make everything go together so perfectly.
