I love rescues like this!! You're doing a great job and what a treasure you'll have when it's all done!

My Gma made this quilt probably in the 30's and it is on my sister's bed in the home I grew up in. Our guild's show is having a special section next October that is called "that green" and I am submitting her quilt. I hope it gets accepted for showing. Because she made one, I also made one two years ago. Actually, I started it 4 years ago and finished it two years ago. Very, very fun. For some reason, I can't find the pic!!

That one is absolutely beautiful. I have several antique quilts and just love them. Hooray for you in hand quilting it. The quilt in my avatar was hand pieced and hand quilted in 1936. It is in just as good condition as it was when it was made.

I made this pattern for a queen sized bed all hand done. Yes, it took a very long time to piece all those together. So you are fortunate that it is still in such good shape and once hand quilted it will be stunning.

I, too, have one that looks just like that. The same green. That must have been what the instructions said. Mine was made in the 40's, maybe even 30's. They are beautiful quilts.
