I made this quilt about 10 years ago and I'm finishing the one my Mom started. It took me 2 years for mine and yes I did it all by hand. Hand piecing is very calming for me.

What a find. Good luck with the hand quilting - it's just perfect for that job and will show off all that beautiful work.

I wonder how many of us have one of those flower gardens started. I do, all hand pieced. Now to do something with it. You rescued a beautiful quilt and someone in your family will love all the work you put into it.

It is so beautiful. I had one like that crib size that my great-grandmother made for me 71 years ago. Gave it to my daughter. She framed it.
