    Thank you for all the kind comments! When I had the blocks done and figured out the layout, I drew it out on graph paper. Then cut out the background pieces, and put it together like a puzzle. There are quite a few partial seams. It was fun!

    For a binding, I would use the darkest or next-to-darkest red. Another option would be the darker gray of the background, and let the blocks pop. Good, dramatic use of color!
