You would die, i just cut into the top of a very similiar cabinet of my grandmother's so i could fit my more modern machine into it! I decided she would want me to be able to machine quilt comfortably...

That is just like the cabinet my grandmother had. In the late 40s or early 50s she converted her old treadle to electric and bought this cabinet for it. I sat in front of that cabinet a lot.

You did a great job on it.
