I like your quilt very much. I think the close up picture shows your fabrics to the best advantage. I think the white spaces offer the opportunity for colorful quilted motifs or a bit of applique if you think they are too dominant at this point. I will be anxious to see what you choose to do to make your quilt more to your liking.

I really like it and I hope you checked out the picture of the one that was shown above after quilting. I think it is stunning. I would definitely add a border with large roses.

The quilting is going to add to this lovely fabric too. I def hope we get to see.
My thought was also to put an applique in the background areas. I thought of the simple rose of Sharon rose or a rosebud to complement the fabrics.

I like the quilt the way it is. You could also add more color in the center of the white blocks by snowballing the corners with your favorite fabric before you sew them together.

I think if you could find that fabric in the second picture in yardage then you could put a 5" or 6" border on the quilt it would really be pretty. Actually, I like the blocks as is but possibly if you added a border, you may like it better.

Go ahead and finish it. You can gift it for a wedding, birthday, or Christmas. Then move on to a project you can enjoy.

I am planning to add a border like the backing in blue. The quilting will just have to make the quilt and that's IF I can do it on my machine. I have quilted a queen before on a regular throat machine but not easy I can tell you.

It was intended for one of the grands. I will finish with what I have already bought. I think I just need 12 more small blocks to make 3 larger, then square up and add a border.I haven't done anything on it today and the way the next few days look, I won't get back to it until next week. I still wish I had made this pattern in the Cottage Joy layer cakes. I have bought floral for a border to match the Cottage Joy. I will see how the quilting goes on this one first.
