That is awesome, I did something similar for my last granddaughter when she was born almost 3 years ago. She cherishes that blanket to this date and has a special place for it on her bed every night. Mom had to literally drag it from her kicking and a screaming as she is getting older to wash it !LOL
One of my cousins used to pull up a chair near the washer and dryer for her child to sit while his "blankie" was being washed and dried. He would wait there through the whole process.

I have friends, a married couple, whos names are really Dick and Jane. They live in St. Pete, Fl. Wonderful people. They have been married about 40 yrs. I had to send to them a picture of your quilt. They will love it :) Where did you get that fabric? Thanks for sharing.

I still have my Dick and Jane book from 1st grade. That was in...1960....OH MY, its an antique. Your quilt is so cute!

What a great quilt to bring back childhood memories (for some of us!)

Would you believe, I actually saw a D & J colouring book yesterday @ the $ store??? They must be making a comeback!
