Sampler quilt - take 1
As a quilter beginner (or beginner quilter????, quilt beginner????) I've decided to make a lap quilt and learn as much as possible during the process....
Only recently I discovered that I'm doing a Sampler Quilt ... Poor blonde girl
all of the blocks are 10 inches finished and random color.
probably I'll use the QAYG method.....
This are the first 5 blocks

I want to include traditional and old quilt blocks
any suggestions ?
tks

Very nice blocks. Are you going to use a sashing between the blocks? I'm a bit weird, but I like to see a punch of black with white small print as sashing material when the blocks are truly a scrappy look.

You are off to an amazing start and yes your points are way past beginning.
If you go to Quilters Cache they have SO many squares - some free, some requiring copyright - and many are 10" finished size. I think they also have info on how to change a square to the size you want. And you can sort by size.
Good luck and keep posting your progress!
