I don't think the dark green goes with the 30's fabrics. The pink is softer and more pleasing.

It is totally up to your taste, but I never make 2 quilts exactly alike.

I like the idea of asking for favorite colors. However if you are trying to use up your stash, and since you want to do 2 quilts, you could use both colors--one for each quilt. You could do some great quilting in the plain squares.

I would go with the pink and to keep it from over powering the Sues, I would add cornerstones using all the fabrics from Sue's dresses.

I just made a pastel SBS quilt for my 8 year old granddaughter and I used a soft pink paisley print for the vertical sashing and a tiny floral soft yellow print for the horizonal sashing and used all the pastel colors of the Sues for the cornerstones. It turned out beautiful and she loved it. I failed to take a picture before gifting.

Definitely the pink or a very pale and soft yellow. I love Sue.

I love this Sunbonnet Sue version! I like the pink too! If you decide to make two quilts....you could make the big blocks green and use pink sashing on both.
