Please let me give you an advise: When you are not doing quilts, you should be writing novels. Your description was beautiful!

THe pattern is Emily's Wedding Quilt from the May/June issue of Love of Quilting, it is super easy without the pattern too though, it is alternating 54-40 or Fight and Shoo Fly blocks ( I made mine 12 inch blocks )

I actually have one of the same pattern that I made last year, only last years has alot of ... alternative design choices LOL.. and I love it and it has a permanent place on my bed, so this one will go to a special cousin, one who married into our family, got divorced from my cousin, but we keep her anyway because she is just so amazing ! It was her that the quilt told me it wanted to go to. She does SOOOO much for our family, never hesitates to jump in when anyone needs help , even though she could have just walked away , she never did. Just like a scrap, she was a left over, who helps make our family stronger and more beautiful for choosing to be a part of it !

My machine is a Brother PQ1500s, so I do have a bit more space than a smaller domestic ( 9 inches ) , though it can be a bit daunting at times LOL. Anything larger than a twin is done QAYG just to save myself the aggravation and hair loss LOL

I have had many people tell me that before, but I tell them the same thing haha, Writing a novel requires WAY more of an attention span that I posses ! Essays, yes, but with me, if I am writing, and have to stop to go do something else, forget it, my train of thought has been lost in the Bermuda Triangle LOL. As long as I can get it down in one sitting I am fine LOL
