    D9P with hearts

    This one is how to go about 'making' the D9P heart blocks;

    And this one is how to make the heart blocks;

    The heart(s) take the most time to make, once they are done the rest of the quilt (9 patch) goes together fast.
    Thanks so much for starting this show. It's just been a joy to sit, relax and be inspired. And thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to find the links to the D9P with hearts!

    I like Stack the Deck the best of these - all are good - maybe because of the "splashes" of red.

    The first quilt is "Saratoga" , 2nd quilt is "3D Bow Tie".

    Saratoga quilt went to "The Linus Connection", 3D Bow Tie will go to Wounded Warriors at Fort Hood Army base in Texas.

    Took this to the LA last week...will be interesting to see how she quilts...I told her not to quilt it too heavily...it's weighty enough with seam allowances. 9P are 1 1/2" finished.

    What a wonderful thread :)

    I make a load of quilts for Project Linus from my scraps as they work so well as they are so colourful. I am the coordinator for the North Wales area and I give talks and presentation for PL, here are a few that I have done, the last one is a D9P I have just shown one as I make them by the dozen

    What great gifts for the kiddos, QuiltingAddict. You have come up with clever ways to use your bits and pieces.

    you talking about the one with all the blue?? its just the card trick pattern....not sure where I got it, but its a pretty common one...and I think I even found one that doesn't use triangles...I think if you google "card trick quilt pattern" it should pop up several for you..........if that doesn't work, let me know and I will see if I can find the one I used....
    I just did a quick look and I found one of them at ProjectLinus.org/pattern9.shtml under free patterns....but somewhere I recently saw one using squares....
