When a friend's daughter and toddler grandkids moved back home while daddy was overseas, Elaine put a screen door on the playroom. Elaine and her daughter were able hear whenever the kids needed something, the kids had a nice large playroom, and best of all... the toys stayed in one location. Elaine insists it kept her sane for the 2 years they lived with her. I thought it was a clever solution because Elaine is one of those overly fussy "no, don't touch that.." sort of person.

I may have to consider that instead of a baby gate for the grandkids. :-)

I sooo had to laugh about this, it conjured up such great mind-pictures.

I think it is a great idea. Wish i would have thought of it a long time ago. Have 3 cats that all think they should be in my sewing room. We have a spare screen door in the attic so BF will have to go look for it! (One more thing on his "honey-do list".
