Very nice addition to your sewing room. I have made one for a friend but never myself....I really should keep my machines covered. : /

Do you have a size for the hexigons? Could you explain how you put the rows of the cover together?

no, no pattern. you should have seen me try to make hex's into squares with "corners" from squares cut diagonally. of course they did not go on well at all. i finally drew my hex and then drew lines across it in an X and then a line across the middle to show all "pieces of the pie". that was what i needed. triangles that size. i cut one out of paper and got my triangle ruler slide it down a bit to show seam allowance(important) and cut them out. this time it worked.
the triangles go onto the right upper side and another on the lower left one. then they are laid out in rows. sort of like the lady does here http://www.thesewingchick.com/2012/0...tutorial.html/

I like this one better. better photo https://quilt-knit-run-sew.blogspot.com/2010/09/i-spy-quilt-hexagons-sewing-tips-and.html

then flip one over and sew to the other.
i even added triangles on the sides where necessary and then later trimmed the edges. didn't try adding half hexagons there.
size of mine were larger but not cut straight, so i made them smaller. .
i used a Kaye West hexagon template. about six inches across and the flat sides about 3 inches.
the base of the triangle must fit the flat sides since it will be sewn to that.
60 degree ruler is all you need.

Thanks, Rhonda. My serger came with a plastic cover but that was so long ago, I'm not sure what even happened to the cover.

I still have my plastic cover under the table. the quilt cover is about 18x27 inches for mine.

I found several tutorials for serger covers. Some seem more complicated than others. Here's some I found:
