I've been working on this for weeks. I tried to use scrap fabric from my mom and my mother in law...so a little bit of each block is also from the grandmas. I'm sending it to a long arm quilter for the first time. I've always quilted my own things, but I want this to be special. The front will be done in a leaf motif(son is a city forester in TX) and the back will have variegated thread so the quilt can be reversible. I"ll post it again after the quilting is complete. I'm happy with it, but I really prefer doing smaller projects that don't take such a long time.
