Wow - that's a lovely quilt! And there is no shabby to be seen. Only chic, soft and feminine without getting too fru-fru.
The flat lace is beautiful, probably even more so than a ruffled lace would have been. It adds elegance, whereas a ruffled lace border would have added cuteness. Thank you for the explanation on how you did it too!

I think we think alike as to why I went to the simplicity of the flange and flat lace.

I smiled when I saw you had written fru-fru, as I am SO NOT a fluffy-fluffy-fru-fru person and told others while working on this that it was my token quilt for that mode! :)

You can be extremely proud of your quilt. I love your layout and using the lace on border - excellent. Very clever using the uncut fabric for the backing.
