What a cool idea that your guild came up with and you are so creative in tackling each month's assignment. LUV your chickens.

All your blocks are so cute, the first one must have taken a long time to make the snippets as well as placing them. How did you attach them. I love the Mother hen and chick, one, too. These are just great works.

Thanks to you all for the compliments! I have fun doing these blocks even though they are time-consuming. Our challenge for this month is paper piecing. :| I've never done paper piecing so this should be interesting!!

500 snippets I am impressed and that is one great looking chicken! :) The mother and baby chicken block is so sweet. Love these blocks and looking forward to seeing your PP chicken.

I ironed strips of Heat and Bond lite to the top part of a narrow strip of fabric. That was the top part of the "feather" adheres but the bottom end is free from the fabric.

I estimate there are about 500 little pieces of fabric - the block measures about 9 in. X 9 in..
Very nice….Question….When you wash the quilt will the feathers fray like with a rag quilt?
