Beautiful - the limited pallette of fabric colours really makes the pattern stand out!

You did a great job! Do you have that wonderful feeling of accomplishment that comes with finishing a project? (I don't get that feeling very often--I finish the top, then put it down and never quilt it!!)

Very pretty! (Don't you just love the great feeling you get when you actually finish a quilt?  ) Keep up the good work!

Hey - I learned about it here!! Self-binding is when you make the backing for the quilt bigger than the front then use it to bind the quilt. I think there's supposed to be some "rule" but I made mine a good 2 inches all the way around. Then, I folded the back in to the center and pressed it so that there was now just enough all the way around the quilt to pull to the front and stitch. I top-stitched 1/8" from the folded edge around the front of the quilt and that created what looks like a binding around the quilt. Lovely!! No bias binding to make!! One quick step!! I think by being so generous with the fold before bringing the fabric around to the front, my binding will be nice and strong because it's double thickness. Here are a couple of links I found in a previous post. Maybe I should have checked them out before doing mine, but it turned out just fine.

The colours in this quilt were chosen "blind" because of the mystery aspect, but the instructions said to think ocean or oriental and I thought desert. Actually I thought "hmm, what do I have in my stash that will work?"

It's beautiful. What is self binding. Share with us. It sounds interesting.
