What a great way to begin to quilt! And what memories the girls will have of their former clothes.

you are very brave to venture into your first quilt using knits!!!!!!!!!wow is all I can say..........just remember, when you go on to your next challenge, cotton fabric is MUCH easier to work with............
Have fun and you will always remember this quilt........

Great first attempt, wish my seams matched so nicely.

PS. Make sure your DD's new clothes are cotton,(evil grin).

If you want to incorporate really stretchy squares, an iron-on stabilizer might help. ( Had a stash of cotton knit shirts I was considering using for quilting but instead they've been carved up for crochet rugs--)

Hi love what you are doing looking great. Their is a product out their for ironing on the back of the fabric so it does not stretch it is for doing t shirt quilts it works great I can not remember the name of the product however any out their that can help. If you get some you can iron it on the back of what you have sewn and it may help keep things under control. Keep sewing YIPPIE

Your pictures are great. Looks like there's some knit fabrics there and you're doing a great job with "flexible" fabric like that for your first try. Very brave. Keep at it. This will be a great first effort.
