Yes thats what they look like in the raw state. I believe she soaks them and opens them out. I have seen some work she has finished with the last lot she had. Her husband has just come back from Thailand so that was her present.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of your projects. I find the silk cacoons very interesting and want to know what you do with them.

Wow, silk! And silk cacoons! I'd really like to see what you do with those. I love the projects. It's so wonderful and interesting to see what others are doing, particularly from outside USA. It's nice to be connected in thread (and silk) :)

How did you make the corner thingy for reading books?
I especially love it but everything looks great.

Its just two pieces of fabric, one slightly smaller than the other and machine scalloped and then I think what she has done is paint the flowers, not quite sure.
