Fancy Nancy, there is an old saying I learned from my mother when I was a girl and she taught me piecing and quilting. "Every quilt has one mistake. Only the maker can find it without searching and sometimes then the admirer can't find it." So just don't say anything and they may never know it wasn't supposed to be.

So what is wrong with the center block? If your not waorried about it getting dirty I would go for the cream color you have in the quilt for the binding.

as far as everyone is concerned that is how it is supposed to be, don't mention it and no one will notice.

WE have all been there. It's a great quilt. I'd go with a tan biding like the color in the quilt.

seems like I am always doing that and I include it, sometimes to just see if any one notices it. I agree with the saying of the amish on ly god makes them perfect we are just humans.

you have all been so kind about my goof - yes, I do believe that it is more noticeable to me than it will be to others. I will definitely use one or all of your comments if anyone notices! Funny thing is - I never notice any mistakes that might be made in any quilts posted here - so guess unless you are actually told to look, your eyes just see the overall quilt - all of which on this board are just fantastic.
