    Springtime quilt for niece

Was to have been a rag quilt; however, ended up as a smile block quilt.

Love the colors and the pattern. What kind of binding did you use? Is that a patterned fabric or is it textured?
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

The binding is the backing that has the polka dot fabric pieced at both ends of the backing. I know there is a term for using the backing - self binding? The green fabric and the flower fabric have a slight texture - not smooth as the quilter's cotton.
    Thank-you for your comments.
