    jeanne, I think zippers are very easy! I have never had a problem with them, and I am NOT a sewist. (sewest?) I bought very long zippers from eBay and cut them to the size I need for my various sized bags.

    (I never had lumps in my gravy either, and everyone told me it was the hardest thing to make! lol)

    So, go for it with a positive attitude -- remember, zippers are EASY!
