Hi Watson's Mom! I was thinking about this quilt today and wondered what ever happened? Did you finish it and post it? Did I miss it? I am glad you decided to leave the yellow in. I think it is going to be beautiful, or is beautiful if I missed it. Let me know Please.

I like the yellow, but what you like is what matters. It looks like it might be your transitional section, like Dunmar does. I think it looks great. Good luck, I am dying to do another bargello, with two family color ways, like Dunmar does. Hers are fantastic.

I'd leave the yellow in. It will make the design sing and zip along. I like it.

i tend to agree with you, the yellow is the only fabric that doesn't seem to fit. replacing it with another fabric would change the whole look of the quilt. Why don't you audition some fabrics by cutting squares and laying them over the top of the yellow and see what you like.

Your opinion is what counts most.
I love the yellow. It makes the eye travel over the quilt.

Hi Watson's mom. Sorry for your loss. I too loss my lovely Whiskey in November and it is tough.

I love the look of the bargello that you are making and the yellow sits just fine as it is. It will look absolutely lovely and it does need a little uplifter. I love your colour choices. They are absolutely stunning!

I would probably go with a softer yellow similar tone to your purple. Yellow and purple are contrasting colors and they are far enough apart the two of them would pop and the other colors would tone down. Hope this makes sense.
