I love string quilts! When you were arranging the blocks did you do it from the top or the back?

Batting and backing were both cut at 10”. Sashes finished at 1/2” so they’re filled with batting from the blocks (the seam allowances)

I arranged from the front and then checked the back.i did need to move a few to spread the color out a little. :-)

Strips that go Corner to Corner are 2 1/2”. The rest were cut at 1, 1 1/2 or 2.

What size were your strips? I have a ton of 2 1/2 " strips but I'm thinking they would be too wide?

Looks wonderful. Am going to try this method in the future. Have been sewing selvages to phone book pages. Kind of wished I would've done QAYG....oh well.
