I love the pattern and the fabric. You have a wonderful eye for color.

What a great pattern! I enjoy "trying" to create different pattern ideas ... even though some ideas work better in my head than in my quilt. Ha! You did a beautiful job and I just love the colors. This should definitely put a smile on the face of the receiver. Great job!

I think I either cut rectangles instead of squares for those corners, or sewed across at different points instead of exactly corner to corner. I honestly don't remember! I made the top over a month ago and only just got it quilted and bound. Sorry about my 'half-heimers' brain!

What you did with your scraps is stunning. This is how a very simple pattern can be transformed into a rich beauty of a quilt. Love it. I am going to save this thread so I can refer to it in the future, if that' is okay.
peace

I like how the red ties it all together. How cheery!

I love your idea to make those snowball/pinwheel/stars. I'm going to give it a try with some stray scraps and see what angle works for me to place the snowball corners. It can't be hard... just have to avoid a 45 degree angle and be consistent. Fun!! Your colors are great.
